A LA CARTE WINE SELECTION
"A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine"
Anthelme Brillat-Savarin
Wine is an indissoluble union with food because a great wine, like a great dish, is the fruit of a great passion for the land and for one's work.
The wine cellar of La Rocca Restaurant is the result of careful research that focuses on the wines of the island, the fruit of vines of ancient memory that grow on territories as diverse as the sandy dunes of Sulcis, the granite of Jerzu, the spectacular rocky plateau of Mamoiada or the mineral lands of Gallura.
In the rich selection of regional wines, you can find both big names and small realities in order to be able to guide our guest on a path of knowledge that leaves the memory of our region and the passion we put into our work every day with them.
The Wine List obviously does not stop at Sardinia alone, but ranges over the whole of Italy and opens a door to the great Champagnes that go well with our Crudités del Pescatore or the renowned Catalan-style lobster, together with the excellent sparkling wines from Franciacorta or Trentino.
The fresh white wines of Northern Italy from Trentino Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia to be paired with the Antipasti Fantasia or the simple but tasty Cozze alla Marinara and the structured white wines from Central and Southern Italy that go well with the fresh pasta preparations that our kitchen offers our guests every day.
Our wine list could not fail to include a selection of the most important Italian red wines, so why not pair a Chianti Classico or Barolo with our Porcetto, which will immediately give you a crunchy sensation and then delight you with its softness, an Amarone or a Supertuscan with a Fiorentina di Bue Rosso, a typical Sardinian breed that Slow Food protects with its own Presidium.
Having reached this point, all you have to do is browse through our menu and choose or rely on the advice that the restaurant team will be happy to give you, interpreting your tastes and matching them.
