Gluten-free cuisine on the Costa Smeralda

More and more people have been diagnosed with coeliac disease or a strong intolerance to gluten, a substance found, unfortunately, in the things that everyone loves to eat most: bread, pasta and desserts.

This makes it difficult to find a place where you can eat well and without contraindications for your health when you go out to lunch or dinner.

All dishes on the menu, including desserts, can be ordered gluten-free.

How to join the AIC project

the la Rocca restaurant is a member of the eating out project, which stems from the Italian Coeliac Disease Association's need to create a chain of establishments informed about coeliac disease and able to offer a service tailored to the dietary needs of coeliacs.

being an AFC member establishment means:

- having taken part in a course on coeliac disease and the gluten-free diet organised by the local AIC, by the local health authorities or by bodies collaborating with AIC,

- having completed the training with subsequent meetings/courses at the establishment itself organised by the local AIC,

- follow all the rules provided by the AIC for preparing and serving gluten-free food to avoid the risk of contamination,

- only use gluten-free ingredients,

- receive the association's information material periodically,

- allow regular inspections by the local AIC, which carries out an in-depth inspection of the establishment at least once a year,

- have signed an agreement with AIC in which the owner undertakes to do all of the above.,
